Center Director
We are seeking a Center Director for LELC to help drive innovation and high-impact student success efforts at our centers. We find ourselves in an exciting era, and require a leader to aid in these transformative efforts. We seek an individual who is highly collaborative, creative, and committed to student learning and faculty development. The Little Explorers Learning Center (LELC) promotes excellence in teaching and enhanced student learning, cultivates learning communities.
Qualifications: Sixty semester or 90 quarter hours of credit from an accredited college or university with 18 semester or 27 quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development from birth to age 6 or Two years (3120 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center, 30 semester or 45 quarter hours of college credits with 10 semester or 15 quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, and proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university until 2 years of college credit have been achieved. A total of 18 semester or 27 quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development is required to be obtained within the total 2 years of college credits.

Lead Teacher
We are seeking talented individuals who will join us in furthering the mission of the agency which is to serve and bring lasting positive change. We currently have an opportunity available for a Lead Teacher. Under the supervision of the Site Director the Lead Teacher will take the initiative for role in planning, organizing, and implementing an integrated curriculum for each student in his or her group that addresses all domains of the centers readiness as contained in the Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework.
Qualifications: Sixty semester hours (or 90 qu arter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six; or Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Rules
